A Late Summer Break

I’m taking a late summer break, starting tomorrow.

For the past few months, I’ve been repeating the same kind of work. It wasn’t bad, but once a pattern forms, thinking falls into the same loop, and it gets dull. Maybe it’s time to change something.

Small ideas have been piling up in the back of my mind. They’re not ready to start on, but over this break I want to take the fragments I’ve left aside and work through them one by one.

I could travel somewhere, or go to a museum, but somehow I’m not drawn to it. Probably because things aren’t sorted out in my head. Rather than looking for something new, I want to lay out what’s already there, neatly.
