A Rainy Summer

This summer in Tokyo, 2026, feels like it’s been a rainy one. Looking it up, August did get more rain than last year. Today is Monday, September 7th, 2026, and after yesterday, it’s raining hard again.

It’s my summer break, so I’d been thinking of going out, but I spent the morning reading. Two books: Andy Warhol’s The Last Supper, and Sigmar Polke: We Petty Bourgeois!

The forecast says rain all week. It’s still coming down, but I can’t quite face a whole day of reading indoors, so on a day like this, I’m going to find somewhere I want to go and head out anyway.
